San Francisco Pedestrian Attorney Sad to Report Female Pedestrian Died In Fatal San Francisco Hit And Run

-Posted On December 14, 2018 In Uncategorized-

A female pedestrian died earlier this month after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in San Francisco, according to San Francisco police.

The woman was crossing Bush Street when she was hit by a dark colored car. The driver did not stay at the scene and has not been found.

Police say they currently have no suspects or witnesses to the event. Each and every week, our office receives calls or emails about terrible personal injuries suffered by motorcycle riders and bicycle riders and pedestrians, and even deaths, all caused by hit and run drivers. For most of these survivors of hit and run driving, there is no compensation, except for their own insurance policies. That’s right, all policies carrying provisions for uninsured drivers also cover injuries caused by hit and run drivers, if certain criteria are met. The first and most important criteria is that the vehicle striking a pedestrian or motorcycle or bicycle must be a motorized vehicle within the definitions in the vehicle code. Second, the survivor or their family must report the hit and run to the appropriate police department and their must be a report filed.

For years now, I have been recommending that every person buy as high uninsured/underinsured limits as they can possibly afford because when the person who is at fault either flees the scene of an accident or if they do not have enough insurance to compensate for your injuries, you must rely on the provisions in your own insurance policy to help financially compensate you.
